Welcome to MacyBay Beagles! We are a small kennel located in Louisa, Virginia breeding AKC Beagles for Field Trials, Rabbit Hunting and Pets. We have over 24 years of experience breeding and raising beagles. Our family raised beagles make great pets as well as great rabbit dogs. View our strong hunting line pedigrees on "Our Beagles" page.
We are currently breeding 15” beagles. Our line produces Tri colored (black, white & tan), Black & Tan, Red & White, and Chocolate Tri colored (brown, tan & white) puppies. Our puppies full grown are between 13" and 15".
We believe beagles should be breed for personality/temperament as well as the ability to hunt. Our puppies are well rounded, loyal and highly intelligent. We start interacting with them the day they are born and continue multiple times a day. This insures our beagles bond well with people and are easier to train.
Our beagles are also raised in our home with children and other pets. We do not raise our dogs in kennels or boxes. They have their own dog rooms in our house each with access to a fenced in yard. We have found over the years beagles are happiest when they are included in your daily life.
We also breed and raise Delaware Chickens, a heritage breed. Delaware's are a dual purpose breed and average 200-280 eggs per year . They produce large to x-large brown eggs and can also be used as meat birds. Delaware's are currently listed as "Threatened" on The Livestock Conservancy List.
We sell hatching eggs, chicks and pullets. We occasionally sell a batch of cockerels for meat birds. Check out our chicken page.
